A wooden bat cannot be used for official games
Metal bats are used in Japanese high school baseball. And you all know that metal bats can't be used in college or adult baseball.
However, the bat used in college baseball or adult baseball is not just metal! It doesn't mean that. Many bats can be used in practice but not in official games. In other words, there are many rules for bats that can be used in official games, and only bats that clear them are used.

Rules for bats in college baseball
There are five major rules regarding bats.
